Sothis (California, USA) – Anyone even remotely familiar with the US Black Metal scene needs no explanation of the sinister darkness that is Sothis. For everyone else, Sothis is a Black Metal powerhouse that strives to redefine the boundaries of Symphonic Black Metal, and has no qualms about showing pride in both their music and their homeland.

Employing everything from shill and grim screams, jackhammer drumming, soaring keys, and brilliant composition, Sothis is what so many other bands wish they were. “Amazing” is hardly descriptive enough. Sothis absolutely dominates. Check them out. My favorite song is “The Memory”.
