Ever Dark (NY, USA). Specifially, Schenectady, NY USA. Not exactly the first place that comes to mind as being a cradle of extreme Metal. But eveidentally it is, and Ever Dark is perhaps the best example I can use to show how (back in the day) excellent music in the USA was largely ignored by those who would have been fans even as it maintained (or surpassed) par with their European counterparts.

Ever Dark was creating some of the blackest hymns to the Dark Gods of Metal that have ever come from North America while many American bands of the same were clinging to the altar of 80’s Speed Metal. Would-be fans had their attention turned to the ice-covered dales of Scandinavia. After a long haul and not nearly enough recognition, Ever Dark called it quits.

But like a restless spirit in the afterworld feeling the draw of unfinished business in the land of the living, Ever Dark is poised to return! Storm is seeking those who would share his vision.
